Solidigm introduces the world

Solidigm is proud to announce another industry first level four unit (QLC) solid-state storage hard drive&# 8217& Flash; SolidigmTM D5-P5336 provides efficient solutions for data centers. The capacity of this hard drive ranges from 7.68TB to 61.44TB, and compared to a full hard drive (HDD) array, Solidigm D5-P5336 can store up to 6x more data in the same space

Greg Matson, Vice President and Head of Strategic Planning and Marketing at Solidigm, said:; Nowadays, modern workloads such as artificial intelligence and 5G are rapidly changing the storage landscape. Enterprises need to obtain affordable storage in more places, be able to efficiently store massive amounts of data and quickly access it. D5-P5336 can meet these three requirements in terms of value, density, and performance. With QLC technology, its economy is very attractive. Imagine storing 6 times more data than HDD in the same space and 2 times more data than TLC Solid-state drive, and accessing these data at TLC speed& Rdquo

The Solidigm D5-P5336 is designed for processing massive data from the core to the edge. Its reading performance exceeds the latest cost optimized three-tier unit (TLC) Solid-state drive on the market. 2 Read intensive workloads such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), content delivery networks, extended network attached storage (NAS), and Object storage continue to drive the situation that huge amounts of data will be generated no matter where the data is located

The Solid-state drive has huge scalability and provides higher total cost of ownership (TCO) in a variety of configurations. Due to its high capacity, Solidigm's D5-P5336 has a more sustainable infrastructure than full TLC arrays, SAS HDD arrays, or hybrid arrays due to its smaller storage footprint. Consider the following situations based on 100PB Object storage solution deployment:

&Ldquo; For many years, there has been controversy about the durability and reliability of Solid-state drive, especially QLC, but Solidigm may end this controversy through D5-P5336,” Avery Pham, Vice President of VAST Data, pointed out& Ldquo; Whether it's AI and machine learning, or Object storage, any application will benefit significantly from these hard disks& Rdquo

Nowadays, it is evident that the main limitation of edge workloads is bandwidth rather than latency; Doug Abby, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Cheetah RAID Storage& Ldquo; Solidigm's D5-P5336 QLC Solid-state drive provides an excellent combination of capacity, performance and reliability, and is the solution to this challenge. The seamless integration of these Solidigm QLC Solid-state drive with Cheetah high-performance servers makes them very suitable for efficient deployment of edge solutions& Rdquo

D5-P5336 is currently shipped in E1. L specifications with a capacity of up to 30.72TB, and will be available in U2 and E1. L specifications up to 61.44TB later this year.
