Super Disk Array® CacheCache™ Pro 2.0 and MegaRAID Fast Channel Ready
&Ldquo; CC” The series 6Gb/s MegaRAID controllers come standard with CacheCade Pro 2.0 and Fast Path. The software is ready to use out of the box. These software products help optimize application performance in the direct attached storage environment configured with Solid-state drive (SSD). Cached Cade Professional 2.0 read/write software aims to significantly improve the application I/O performance of hard drives based on (HDD) arrays, intelligently storing frequently accessed data or; Hot Spots; Cache data to SSD. Using SSDs as a dedicated high-performance cache pool in front of HDDs can cost-effectively improve both read and write performance, reduce I/O latency, accelerate application response time, and reduce RAID access and rebuild time. MegaRAID Fast path software is a high-performance I/O accelerator designed to significantly improve the transaction application throughput controller card connected to the SSD array of MegaRAID.
Using MegaRAID CacheVault™ Protecting Cached Data Technology or BBU
RAID caching is a cost-effective method that improves I/O performance by writing data to the controller cache before writing to the disk. In write back mode, data written to the cache is vulnerable to attacks and is permanently stored on disk before creation. To avoid the possibility of data loss or damage during power or server failures, Broadcom provides a CacheVault flash protection module or LSIiBBU09 battery backup unit for MegaRAID SAS 9271-8iCC controllers. CacheVault flash protection uses NAND flash power to help protect data stored in the MegaRAID controller cache through supercapacitors. When a power failure occurs in the disk array controller, the data in the cache is automatically written to flash memory, while the supercapacitor maintains current during this process. When the power is restored, DRAM is restored from flash memory, and the system continues to operate without losing data. Customers have the flexibility to choose traditional LiON battery solutions or more environmentally friendly, lower total cost of ownership (TCO) cache protection solutions using MegaRAID CacheVault technology.

MegaRAID Management Suite™ The software provides basic tools for managing MegaRAID products, whether deployed in enterprises or small businesses. Broadcom offers a range of applications and tools, including pre boot setup utilities and a complete set of online RAID management utilities. This application allows administrators to adjust SAS or SATA topology views and disk enclosures from system hosts, controllers, and up to the logical and physical drive levels. Expanding to enterprise deployment, these tools can be expanded to make it easier to deploy locally or through local area networks.
