The QM9790 switch system based on NVIDIA Quantum-2 can provide 64 NDR 400Gb/s InfiniBand ports in a 1U standard chassis design, with a single switch carrying an aggregated bidirectional throughput of 51.2 terabits per second (Tb/s) and a landmark capacity of over 66.5 billion data packets per second (BPPS). NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand switches support the latest NDR technology and can provide a high throughput, intra network computing, intelligent acceleration engine, flexible and robust architecture to meet High-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence and ultra large-scale cloud infrastructure applications, while reducing cost and complexity.
As an ideal rack mounted InfiniBand solution, the QM9790 NDR InfiniBand fixed configuration switch supports multiple topologies such as Fat Tree, SlimFly, DragonFly+, and multi-dimensional Torus, providing extremely high flexibility. NVIDIA Quantum-2 is also backward compatible with previous generations of products, as well as extensive software ecosystem support.
Simplify network design and topology
By implementing NVIDIA port splitting technology, the QM9790 switch supports double density 200Gb/s (NDR200) ports, reducing the cost of network design and topology. Supporting up to 128 200Gb/s ports, NVIDIA offers highly dense ToR switches in the market.
Enhanced management
The externally managed QM9790 switch can utilize the advanced NVIDIA UFM (UFM®) feature set to support data center operations teams in efficiently configuring, monitoring, managing, and maintaining modern data center networks, as well as preventive troubleshooting, thereby improving utilization and reducing overall operational expenses.
