Samsung releases Gen5 SSD: Performance uation and application advantages of two PM1743 and PM9D3a models

The Samsung Enterprise PM883 series SSD adopts SATA 6Gbps interface, equipped with the latest 64 layer 3D TLC NAND technology, proprietary new control chip, and LPDDR4 DRAM cache, providing a variety of capacities ranging from 240GB to 7.68TB, meeting the data storage needs of data centers and enterprise servers.

The PM883 series SSD consumes only 2.8W during read operations and 3.7W during write operations. The power disable (PWDIS) feature compatible with SATA 3.3 enables power management for individual SSD units, thereby improving energy efficiency in the data center.

In terms of performance, the Samsung PM883 series SSDs have sustained read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s, respectively, and random read and write speeds of up to 98K IOPS and 28K IOPS, respectively.
